Heading for the future of IT with JDD!
The 18th edition of JDD was a huge success, gathering almost 750 attendees. What lets the conference grow against all odds in the IT industry?
Variety
JDD’s goal is to deliver an inspiring program that covers all aspects of a developer’s life, simultaneously focusing on topics the community finds truly important. This year, the schedule included three technical tracks with topics ranging from best practices on coding and testing to tips on specific tools and frameworks. There were also additional Soft Skills and Unconference tracks, which let attendees boost communication and share their insights.
Openness
The program of JDD is aimed at developers without restrictions – it addresses issues that are relevant and practical regardless of the language used or methodologies preferred. The conference gathers everyone actively connected with IT – not only programmers but also project managers, team leaders, and recruiters, who will all learn how to navigate and communicate in the industry.
Community
Keeping with the JDD custom, the JUGmajster contest for speakers from Java User Groups took place on the first day of the conference. The JUGmajster title went to Kacper Koza from the Poznań Java User Group, who now has a chance to speak again at JDD 2025.
12 partner companies and 21 media and communities in total supported the organization of JDD. The presence of such a big community guaranteed countless conversations, a massive dose of networking, and lots of knowledge-sharing from different perspectives.
Feedback
What were the key elements that convinced the attendees of this year’s JDD to join the conference? It is no surprise that almost 40% of them were focused on the schedule, followed by a solid 19% who based their decision on the speakers’ lineup.
Next in the chart are networking, recommendations from people who attended previous editions, and finally, a chance to meet representatives of partnering companies.
This perfectly sums up why JDD focuses on delivering a community-driven schedule and is still growing in the ever-changing world of IT. Stay with us to learn what the 2025 will bring!
