JUGmajster is back at JDD 2026

JUGmajster returns to JDD 2026, and once again, we’re inviting Java User Groups to step on stage and show what their communities are really about.

This is not a standard conference slot. JUGmajster has always been about representing local communities through strong, experience-driven talks. No recycled presentations, no safe topics. Just solid engineering, delivered by people who actually build and run systems.

What is JUGmajster at JDD?

Each participating JUG nominates one speaker and one talk. That talk becomes their entry – a way to represent their community in front of an international audience and, at the same time, compete for the JUGmajster title.

Over the years, JUGmajster has become one of the most community-based parts of JDD. It’s where you see how different groups approach real problems, what they’ve learned, and what they’re willing to share, including things that didn’t go as planned.

If you want to better understand the conference, take a look at the JDD 2026 page.

What kind of talks are we looking for?

For JDD 2026, we’re especially interested in topics that reflect how software is built today.

Not just language-level deep dives, but real-world engineering: distributed systems, cloud environments, performance, resilience, and security. Talks should come from experience – something tested, challenged, maybe even broken and fixed.

You can explore the full submission guidelines here: JUGmajster.
